The shrinkage rate of the lanyard is a crucial performance parameter of the lanyard. Shrinkage means that after the fiber absorbs moisture, it will cause the fiber and the yarn to swell horizontally, and the buckling of the yarn will expand, resulting in a reduction in the length of the fabric, an increase in thickness, and dryness. In such a situation that is difficult to repair later, the shrinkage rate of the lanyard is a serious threat to its performance indicators. The shrinkage rate of the lanyard is mainly related to the raw material of the fabric, the relative density of the fabric, the production process, and the size of the fabric yarn. So how does this factor affect the shrinkage rate of the lanyard? The detailed analysis can be seen below.

1. The raw materials of the fabric are different, and the shrinkage rate is different. Generally speaking, the fibers with high water absorption will swell after soaking, the diameter will expand, the length will decrease, and the shrinkage rate will be large.

2. The hardness of the fabric is different, and the shrinkage rate is also different. If the relative density of the Jingwei direction is similar, the shrinkage rate of the Jingwei direction is also close. Textiles with high warp density will shrink greatly in the weft direction.

3. The fabric production process is different, and the shrinkage rate is also different. Generally speaking, in the whole process of weaving, printing and dyeing of fabrics, the fibers have to be stretched several times, the production and processing time is long, and the fabrics with excessive support force are added.

4. The yarn count of the fabric is different, and the shrinkage rate is also different. The shrinkage rate of the coarse yarn count is large, and the shrinkage rate of the fabric with fine yarn count is small.
