How to distinguish nylon lanyard from polyester lanyard?

     Nylon and polyester are both commonly used materials for the webbing part of lanyard products. How to distinguish between the two?

     Nylon - Nylon (polyamide fiber), with high strength, high abrasion resistance, high chemical resistance and good resistance to deformation, anti-aging, the gloss of the fabric is brighter, and the hand feel is smoother.

     Polyester - polyester fiber, which is characterized by good air permeability and moisture removal, as well as strong acid and alkali resistance and UV resistance. Usually nylon used in lanyard products has high purity, due to its delicate and smooth surface characteristics, which is very suitable for silk-screen LOGO processing on the surface; some are mixed with other types of yarns, such as polyester.

     Due to the common use of nylon and the convenience of customizing decimals, there are many commonly used color ready-made materials on the market. Such materials are not limited to order, and can meet the needs of different customers.

     The main difference between nylon lanyard and polyester lanyard:

     1. Combustion method: polyester emits very strong black smoke, nylon emits white smoke, and the residue after combustion is seen. Polyester will be broken when pinched, and nylon will become plastic.

     2. Hand feeling method: polyester lanyard feels rough, nylon lanyard feels smoother.

     3. Hand scraping method: You can scrape with your fingernails. After scraping the nails, there are obvious marks on the nylon lanyard, and the ones with less obvious marks are nylon lanyards.

     4. Stretching method: nylon lanyard has a little elasticity, polyester lanyard has no elasticity.
